on the topic of character design... super old stuff from the now disbanded weekly sketch jam. i think the topic for this one was to redesign a video character. i think this was a spin on devil may cry's dante since that guy's devil trigger form has as much broken continuity as a hawk man's backstory .

ugh, haven't had a chance to update this over the last week or so. going for my first choice university interview in one and a bits and as such am desperately  trying to get the last few things together.

i'm not freaking out, not even a little bit. i'm as sure of that as my name is grigori rasputin.

anyhoo, remnants from the sketch jam. the topic for this one was anticipated films of 2009. went with '9' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWSK0g1BnsY) because animation and post apocalypse scenarios  are two things i have a big o'l cushy soft spot for.

and, of course, it looks totally bad ass.

for the sketch jam. this week's theme was the rather open ended 'something awesome' and what could possibly be more awesome than the cy-bear ninja squad?

art jam leftovers- theme this time round was 'three panel comic'. rather than try and be all witty and cleaver about it, just churned out the most re-god-damn-diculouse thing i could think of; namely an unlikely duo saving the city from a 90ft barney with the power of ROCK.

in order to do something about all the black and white kicking around here latley, may i re-introduce you to the colour purple?

leftovers from a sketch jam. what with the remake coming out and all, we figured jason vorhees would be a pretty appropriate topic for this week's doodle-fest. on retrospect, should have probably gone with a slightly more atmospheric approach, but what the hell. these are only meant to be quickies.

for the weekly sketch jam. we had a rather crack-tastic topic the last time round... something to do with bad ass babies and we all know that kung-fu ranks pretty highly on the bad ass charts so these two things just had to go together.

so i get up this morning and it's 3 o'clock. blargh. i could have got on with some work but i wasn't feeling all that cerebral on 4 hours sleep so what better way to kill some time by knocking out a sketch for this weeks art jam? the theme this time round was foot soliders/lackeys.

man, i really want to watch star wars again... and by star wars i mean episodes iv-vi, you know, the ones george lucas made before he had one too many sips of the cool-aid.

did you know that the term 'the storm trooper effect' was coined after these guys and refers to the fact that shit hot marksmanship apparently isn't a quality evil organizations look for in their employees?
