shit-tacular storyboards for animation.

uuuuuuUUUUUUUUUGGGGGH! i just spent the last four hours or so doing the line work on one of the backgrounds for this. haven't got onto the making things move bit and this thing is already killing me! there's lots and lots of cool stuff i want to link to in this post but my brain feels way too much like rancid granola for that right now....

whoar. new york was pretty bitching. we were only there for three days (which is sooooooooo not enough) and got up to all sorts of delightfully touristy things. there's a shit-ton of sketch book stuff to put up here so no doubt we'll be working through that during the next couple of months.

in the mean time, really, really, REALLY old stuff. i'm only doing this because it means putting off writing about freud at six in the morning.

found a couple more glamour doll storyboards kicking around so oh well, what the hell. the shoot wrapped a couple of weeks ago although they've said they need to do a couple of reshoots so maybe watch this space for more rent boy/drag queen action?

and WOW, these are some weak sauce drawings. doing work at two in the morning of deadline day is so frigging futile.

bbbbbbbbut probably not given my knack for fudging things up. was kinda sad this was getting cut... till i took another look at the left third. seriously. wtf, mate? way to tweak rob's pose into something totally unfeasible/goofy because you didn't leave enough space *slow clap*

in my defense though, most of the rough pencils for issue two were done in a nigh pitch black room in edinburgh on top of far, far, FAR too little sleep.

hola. long time no speak, mostly down to the fact that once again, i am a real student. granted, they haven't actually got us doing any work yet (this shit gets real come monday and i'm totally psyched)but already the combo of uni and work it totally kicking my ass. this is going to be fun.

but anyhoo, in the mean time enjoy some truly awful character designs. nick's been good enough to let me have art duties on a short film he's trying to put together. it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun and hey, i get to draw demented, grizzly cowled vigilantes. perticulalry digging on the lobster johnson rip off above the hoodie-sporting dude center bottom.

ugh, you know when you must have redrawn something a gazillion times and you still can't nail it? this is one of those times. it's not even funny how many drafts of this are in my sketchbook/moleskin/hardrive.
