random panel time!

biros? wow, haven't used one of those in a long, loooooooooong time which is curious because they're so the happy middle ground between pens and pencil.

i think we're going to have to do something about that in the not too distant future...

trying to come up with some charater designs for Q's webcomic. fuck. there are not enough hours in the day.

but yeah. orcs. i always pictured these guys as big ass-bad tempered vultures, roving around in make shift bits and bobs scavenged from what's left of anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.

IF I HAD THINGS MY WAY, EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE A MASSIVE CHIN!

...well, i guess angry mobs aren't well renowned for their ability to approach whatever it was that got them grabbing the nearest pitch fork in a cool headed manner anyway.

page 6 from Q's web comic. eugh. let's break that last panel down into a mathematical equation, shall we? stale pose + abuse of the blur tool= MEGA FAIL.

que the benny hill chase music.

a hoy hoy.

panel from the web comic. heh, only five pages in and already i've fallen behind schedule. it's ridiculous. i have a MONTH to do these pages. in the case of work i've pretty much been managing to do a page of line art a day so why is this so hard to churn out on time?!

bitchbitchbitchmoanmoanmoan.

probably my favorite panel from the page. there are 10 panels in that thing and the story's moving at a much faster pace than the first time round but still, there's a tone of narrative fluff in there. left to my own devices on the breakdown, think i have a tendency to cram in a load of superfluous storytelling. note to self: stop being so 'LOOK MA, I CAN DRAW!'. it's douchey.

'nother panel from the web comic featuring a mob of angry villagers doing what angry villagers do best.

panel from the web comic.

villagers potentially armed with pitch forks and flaming faggots? why do i get the distinct feeling this isn't going to end too well for our cloaked stranger?

warning: this panel contains gratuitous amounts of abject horror.

100th post.

character designs for the web comic do-hickey... and don't worry about the soul patch. turns out it's a keeper after all.

OH TEH DRAMA!

colored version. i'm  loving the fact everyone has glow in the dark teeth.

work in progress- pencils from the last page of the web comic i'm doing with Q. i like the first two thirds of this. you were doing so well... and then you've got that last panel with the hood charging the guy from COMPLETELY the WRONG ANGLE.

*slow clap*

in other news, i really, REALLY like drawing feet. i'm wondering if it's some kind of subconscious fetish...

another little excerpt from page two.

BWAH! this little sequence totally lacks any of the tension that i was hoping it would have. that said, Q seems to be ubber happy with it so who am i to give myself more work and re-do it.  yes, that would just be silly, wouldn't it?

a panel from a page i finished up today. well, there's still the small matter of defiling it with my sick lettering skills but oh well.

gah, i wish i had more time to blow on this particular project. at this rate, i'm only turning out a page a month. given that Q's written all the way up to issue 12 or something insane like that, this isn't going to be finished in this life time.

sad face.

note to self- font for scream= john handy let (open canvas)

the 'colored' page. i'm not going to assault your eyeballs with the lettered version.

argh! i am SO close to getting the second page done but work is a total attention seeking ho-bag at the moment (i do love it really though). bah, there is too much to do. life would be so much easier with a sweat shop of clones at my disposal... or a time machine.

cccccccoooome on scientific break through!
