life drawing!

that's all.

design stuff for the graphic novel.

speaking of comic book things, both issues of turning tiger are now up on graphic.ly! you can get your mitts on them by way of -> http://renegadeartsentertainment.com/titles/turning-tiger . dude. there aren't enough crayons in the box to colour me excited. working with richmond and alexander was such a frigging blast.

pannel from the liberty. oh my. i have done a spectacularly shit job of keeping on top of this now we're back at uni. looks like this weekend is being spent in total lock down and repenting for my sins of piss poor time management.

WHOA CARIBOU. YOU JUST UP-ED THE FUNK.

i love how the early, care-free days of briefs can be filled with the most frivolous junk- just like this! man, there are some funky looking birds out there...

last of The Show stuff. phew. in the middle of lugging this stuff up to the framers and oh my gosh, this art business is kinda expensive.

life drawing! oh my god, how i've missed this. note to self- next summer, actually try to keep on top of this.

so yeah, we're back at uni. wow, i forgot how that thing ate up time.

there are like twelfty million things in my head i want to draw. this is one of those rare occasions where i just said fuck it and took a little time out to pin one down on paper.

of course, i had to convince myself it would be halfway appropriate for a past doodle caboodle theme to work up the gumption to take a break from work and do it. oh god. i think my neurosis may have totally choked out my ability to draw for just the hell of it....

ah well, i'm just waiting till the ideas section of my grey matter hits critical mass and you all get sucked into the gaping black hole where my head used to be.

(p.s. why does his ass look like it's pressed up against something when he's in a bottomless tub? ART FAIL.)

what's that? you're done with the stuff for the show? but... but that means you only have 5,328 plates spinning in the air. you need to find a new project to keep busy.

YOU LOVE IT REALLY.

yes, yes i do. some character design stuff for a children's book. ugh, this is going to be a slow one. there is not a whole lot of time to go around, especially since uni is starting up next monday.

for The Show. just finished off everything for it this afternoon. CALOO-CA-FREAKING-LAY.

you should come along. more info on that can be found here->http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=163808180300318&ref=ts

(panel from the graphic novel. featuring old school email. we are throwing historical accuracy to the wind, people.)

a section of the other holyfreakingcrapwhydidyoumakethissobigit'snotlikeitneedstogocrushtokyo painting. i should be working on it right now, but i'm totally blowing it off to play with the blog.

HORRAY FOR PAYING FOR IDLENESS LATER!!

also, goddamn, this movie looks like waaaaay too much fun. that found-footage gimmick will never get old... unless it's got anything to do with that craptastic paranormal activity piece of ass.

another piece for The Show. ugh, i am currently paying for the sin of charging in head first with this. SILLY RABBIT. ONE DAY YOU WILL LEARN TO THINK THESE THINGS THROUGH.

... oh who are you kidding, alex. you will forever be a slave to short-sighted foolishness.

AAAAaanyways, sorry about the quality with this one. had to take a photo of the bugger since it's a big one. man, a B2 scanner would be totally sweet right now.

on a lighter note, i think this might be my most favorite thing in a long time:

Death Buy Lemonade from Cartoon Brew TV on Vimeo.

for the song theme over at zee doodle caboodle blog. i am going to beat that dead horse to oblivion and beyond. for florence + the machine's bird song. why that track isn't on the main album is beyond me. this song is beyond fabulous.

huh. i don't know where her clothes went either.

another piece for The Show. man, i'm thinking inking with acrylic is totally > than inking with actual ink. it's _way_ more messy and you can get all sorts of fun textures out of it, making for more lively work. HOO-HAAR!

MUSICAL INTERLUDE!

currently bopping through sea wolf's leaves in the river. it's pretty fun although i'm shamed to say that i only discovered this band by means of twilight. so very, very shamed. god, the sound tracks for those movies are 100,000,000 better than they have any right to be.

for The Show. eugh. the background on this thing is bugging the ever-loving crap out of me. curse you, visible lazy pencil work. my smudging-fu could not vanquish you.
